Photo of the Week: Ko Lipe, Thailand

Days_work.jpg

Evening sun catchs the delivery of new tourist to the haven of Ko Lipe - just days prior to the 'wave' hitting.

Cheryl (aka Good2Go) took this photo in Thailand in 2004. The 'wave' she refers to, of course, was the tsunami. Ko Lipe, which is in southwestern Thailand, experienced little damage that December.

Great shot, love the colours - it really sums up the innocence of the area before IT hit. I have just travelled along the weat coast with Selective Asia (www.selectiveasia.com) with my family and it was wonderful to see so many smiling faces and to witness how each little community can pull a country back together.
