One fine January, one fine 2007

More members, but still no Gabonese or San-Marinese...

Thanks either to Peter's fancy redesign, Sam's sudden spate of online attention, or some other unknown and fearfully mysterious reason, Travellerspoint has hit another high. Just a week after our last record-breaking day, we had another one, scoring a fine 150 new members in one blistering 24 hours.

For those of you who enjoy expanding your knowledge with useless trivia, five of our top ten days ever have been in January 2007. It's gonna be a good year:) Anyone want to venture a guess as to when we'll get our 100,000th member?

Incidentally, our best month for memberships to date was in April 06 and totalled 3253 members. So far we have had just under 2000 members in January. If the average per day (117) was kept up, we would end up on over 3600 members for the month.

My guess for the 100,000th member is July the 12th :)

Hmmm, I'm gonna go with a slightly wilder guess and assume we get, on average, 122 new members per day. Which brings the 100,000th member to June the 8th.

Ooohhh, so are my winnings will be a choice of an LP guide or duct tape or both??? (Hien secretly wishes he'd chosen the duct tape last time since he still doesn't get out much and the tape would have come in handy yesterday.) ;)

Given that yesterday was _another_ record breaking day, with 154 new members, I'm going to say the rate will keep going up, and we'll hit 100,000 members on the 21st of May.
