Every two months, Travellerspoint holds a photo competition for our members. The photos above are the top photos from the Best of 2011 Photo Competition.

Great photos - well done everyone. Rather sad to see the picture of "water dandelions in Christchurch". They are in the courtyard by the Town Hall (great concert venue BTW), and alongide the Avon River which flows through the city and out to New Brighton. I live in Christchurch but we haven't seen these sights for many months now. Much of the city centre is still cordoned off while the army of construction workers take down the hundreds of buildings destroyed or compromised by earthquake of September 2010 (and the 10,000 or so After Shocks that have rolled through the city since that morning).
